This morning's email is titled "Learn Something New: The Brioche Stitch". I've been curious about this stitch and the email (web version here) does have very basic how-to instructions. However, as is the norm, to really learn anything, you need to buy something.
Being innately cheap, I googled "2-color brioche stitch" ... and found a fantastic site called "The Brioche Stitch" by Nancy Marchant with all kinds of great information. Her "Brioche Stitch In Color" page starts with a 2-color brioche stitch ...
Then covers ...
2-color Plain Brioche - Right side
And ...
3-color Plain Brioche - Right and Wrong side
AND ...
4-color Plain Brioche - Right side
And, you just have to love a home page with ...
5-color Plain Brioche - Right and Wrong side
Yes, the first thing you see on the home page is a book for sale, but the pages within the site have detailed information, tons of variations and great pictures. It's even set up to easily print out individual pages. What a great resource!!
I can't wait to really delve into this and, you know, if an innately cheap gal like myself were to buy a book on Brioche Stitch, this would be it.
In the meantime, since I know I don't have the time to dig in to the Brioche Stitch right now (sadly, I have too much work to do at the moment), I decided to write a quick blog post so I'll have all the info at the ready when all this work stuff calms down a bit.
